Shnarped connects pro athletes to their fans in a positive, youth-friendly environment using mobile applications. We create dynamic player profiles by aggregating player news, statistics, tweets, and highlights from across multiple pro leagues. This content creates context that fuels sport-specific interactions between professional athletes and their loyal fans. Starting in hockey - which two of our founders play professionally - our youth-friendly social platform allows hockey fans to interact with their hockey heroes in a safe environment that parents can trust their kids to be on. Our core interactive feature is called "the pound"; fans can send a virtual fist-pump in real-time to their favourite athletes after a great play, and verified players can message back after the game. Traction: Over 350 pro hockey players use Shnarped, and by January more hockey fans will have received messages from players on Shnarped than on Twitter. Bigger sports markets are coming soon.
